I believe in the beautiful, authentic moments.

I’m a family photographer and filmmaker, located in Thousand Oaks, CA. I specialize in creating a fun and comfortable environment for your family.

As a mother of three, I know how chaotic and messy life is and how it changes from day to day. That change and the desire to freeze time, is what inspired me to pick up my camera when my first baby was born. I also realized how little I was in the frame with my babies. And that it seemed like much effort to try and look a certain way for the camera. When in reality, that wasn’t what was raw and true and real. My desire is for you to feel beautiful, and for you to see just how beautiful your connection with your family is.

We are a military family that has endured and adjusted to change and moving throughout the years, yet the one constant has been documenting the days and creating images that make me feel something deep. From the gorgeous, wild, and rugged forests of the Pacific Northwest, to the quiet beauty desert near the Eastern Sierras, I have loved telling stories in the places we have planted our feet.

Looking back on my childhood, I always wish I could see more of me and my siblings with Mom in the photos. I can stare at a photo of me and my grandma all day and still remember the way her kitchen smelled of German sausage and sauerkraut. I was a competitive gymnast for 13 years, and I only have clips of the dozens of gymnastics meets that I competed at. I also long to see a video of me with my brothers and sisters. That's why I am so passionate about telling honest stories of childhood and families.

I simply adore the vision, the backstory, and the products of photographing little ones and those who love and care for them. It's been 7 years now since those first families entrusted me with their memories, and with each passing year I feel even more blessed to be doing what makes my heart sing.

A little more about me?

I'm a Texas girl, currently making the most of life in the little suburb of Newbury Park. Wife to a Navy pilot/Super Dad and mom to 3 + a desert tortoise, Winny. I love to be outside with my family--hiking, camping, traveling to new places and exploring cultures and foods. I was a competitive all around gymnast for 13 years, and went on to cheer at The University of Texas at Austin. I enjoy acrylic painting. I am the eldest of 4 kids.

Sunsets, swimming in the ocean, hiking in the mountains and coffee make me happy…

Why do I believe in video and bringing these beautiful moments to life?

Because there is nothing like hearing the voice of your child....young or old. There is nothing like hearing Mom or Dad say, I love you. There is nothing like watching you in your element....as a Parent. Parenting is no joke. It's the hardest, and the most rewarding job we will ever do.

This video was filmed during Adam's 9 month deployment overseas. I look back on this time, and I cherish every single sound, the music, the movement. There is nothing like it, and I will always have these sweet memories.
